I'm Tom — a full-stack engineer who's been shipping software for teams big and small for a little over a decade. I run mxmn.net, my one-person consultancy here on the Spanish coast, and I work with companies remotely across Europe and beyond. Most of my days are a mix of building product features end-to-end, designing the systems behind them, and helping teams getting the most out of their software and AI.

The problems I enjoy most tend to sit somewhere between engineering and product: the tricky pieces where the stack, the user experience, and the business reality all have to line up. My goal is always to understand the underlying processes and to build systems that make them more efficient.

Over the years I've been lucky to work with some great companies: Zalando, Crowdcast, Ada Health, Cannabis Apotheke Frankfurt, and a number of smaller startups and scale-ups along the way. Each was a bit different, but the thread has always been the same: showing up, understanding the context, and shipping something that genuinely moves the needle.

Engagements vary from a few days to a few months. Sometimes a multi-month project where I join a team as an extra senior engineer and help deliver a specific piece of the roadmap. Sometimes it's part-time embedding — a couple of days a week over a longer stretch, which tends to work well for companies building AI features and wanting a steady hand on the wheel.
